Remove pocket watch engraving and re-engrave

Hello everybody, My name is Laura Pfau and I have a small problem that hopefully someone can help me with.

In my pocket watch (silver plated as far as i know) there is a small engraving on the inside of the lid. (see image) This would have to be removed somehow, no matter how sanding, Reapply material, insert a fine silver plate over it or something else, The main thing is that you can re-engrave the inner surface of the watch afterwards.

A text is to be engraved on the spot. The diameter of the available spot is approx 4,2 cm. Text, font and formatting should ideally match the attached image.

I hope someone knows a way to accomplish this.
